How a mobile visit actually runs

You tell us the vehicle, roughly where it will be and when suits. We arrive with everything needed, connect to the ECU and read the original calibration off it first, before anything is changed. That file is saved, and it is what lets the vehicle be put back to standard at any point in the future, so it happens before any of the interesting work begins.

Then the map gets written for that specific vehicle, loaded, and the car or van is driven and logged so we can confirm what it is doing rather than assume. The whole sequence is normally about an hour to ninety minutes. At the end you get the keys back and a straightforward explanation of what was changed, which is a conversation that is much easier to have standing next to the vehicle than over a counter.

There is no drop off, no courtesy car to organise and no coming back for it tomorrow. For a lot of people that is the entire reason they rang in the first place, particularly if the vehicle is what gets them to work or is the thing the work actually happens in. The mapping is the same either way. What changes is whether arranging it costs you a day you cannot really spare.

Where we can work in Northampton, and what we need

Driveways, yards, business park car parks, the street outside your office. What matters is not the postcode but whether the vehicle can sit still safely for the visit with the engine able to run, and whether there is enough room to work at it without being in traffic.
